What Small Biz Can Learn From Big Biz About Social Media

I just found a great article on the SmallBiz Technology blog explaining what small businesses can learn from larger ones about marketing using social media (Facebook, Twitter etc).

An important point to remember, and one I agree entirely with, is that social media is still very new and everyone is still learning about it. Basically social media has a life of its own now and is evolving as more people use it.

The other important point is that social media is the place for conversation between a business and its customers and prospects – it’s not a place to push or hard sell. It’s more a brand awareness thing really, with the ability to capture some peoples attention if they’re interested in what you have to say.
